The B649, pictured here, is ideal for district heating and cooling networks, HVAC, and industrial projects that need an efficient compact BPHE with close temperature approaches at high operating pressures. The big, one-phase B649 delivers PHE-like capacities without the wear and tear of parts. Most of the material (95%) in BPHEs is used to transfer heat, compared with other technologies that use a lot of material for supports, frames, etc. This high-capacity BPHE saves money on spare parts, space, energy consumption, transportation, and installation.

SWEP are best known for our manufacturing services and manufacture a comprehensive range of products for all aspects of water heating and heat recovery. We are proud to be able to offer bespoke products to suit the customers requirements in terms of performance required and site constraints, as well as providing standard off the shelf products.




SWEP is the first Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger (BPHE) manufacturer to create specific BIM models from its selection software for its market-leading compact and high capacity BPHE range.

Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a key component of the government construction strategy, where it aims to deliver significant efficiencies to the government estate. But BIM is also being widely adopted in the private sector by
clients who see the benefits of a common information platform for projects through the life of the building, structure or facility.

BIM in SWEP design software G8 means that SWEP can meet the needs of end users, contractors and design engineers, by providing 3D BIM models with project and asset information, documentation and related data. This enables designers to import the models and data directly SWEP Design software now with BIM Level 2 into their designs for HVAC or Heat Network systems.
The resulting benefits are:
• Reduction in CAPEX, delivery and operational costs

• Improved carbon performance
• Predictable planning

SWEP’s design software G8 is available for downloading from the SWEP website here and BIM is available in Revit® which supports a wide range of industry standards and file formats.

      Brazed plate heat exchangers are one of the most efficient ways to transfer heat. They are designed to provide unparalleled performance with the lowest life-cycle cost. Choosing brazed technology for your next heating or cooling project will bring many benefits, including savings in space, energy, and maintenance.

      Our BPHEs are extremely compact compared with other technologies. The footprint can be as little as one tenth that of a shell & tube heat exchanger or half that of a gasket PHE.

      The E8LAS,pictured across, is developed to meet the market’s highest thermal demands for tap water production. The unique construction, with integrated start and end plates, combined with high compactness and efficiency means the E8LAS offers a very versatile solution.

      With no need for gaskets or supporting equipment, about 95% of the material is used to transfer heat. The highly turbulent flow also enables you to use small temperature differences efficiently.

      The robust construction requires no gaskets, eliminating their risk of leaking. This means stable thermal and hydraulic performance, with minimal maintenance and operational downtime.

      The compact size uses space efficiently and makes system design more flexible. Larger installations can be constructed unit by unit via standard doors and elevators, and it is easy to expand capacity when demand increases.

      You will save on energy, maintenance, spare parts, and installation. The life-cycle cost over 15-20 years can often be half that of a corresponding gasketed solution.

      Our BPHEs are normally self-cleaning, thanks to highly turbulent flows. In applications with a high risk of fouling or scaling, Cleaning in Place is easy without disassembly.
