Glazed Rooflights

BBS Building Components in conjunction with HASL has continued to develop its Pyrovent smoke venting rooflight designed to operate automatically in the event of the fire or smoke alarm being activated.

For areas with zero or low wind exposure the unit can be fitted with an electro-magnetic catch which is released on activation of the alarm, the top is then sprung to fully open using gas compression struts. In areas where wind exposure is likely the unit is fitted with electronic lifting actuators, also, with the correct electrical configuration the rooflights can be utilised for controllable ventilation and/or access as well as in smoke ventilation mode.

Depending on the location in the building different top components for the unit are available as polycarbonate domes, single, double or triple glazed, single or double-glazed Pyro-shield glass or a solid flat insulated panel.

Other BBS Building Component products available through HASL include rooflights, glazed corridors, glazed canopies, smoker shelters and electric sliding rooflights. HASL can provide control systems to operate BBS Building Componet products, complementary automatically operating louvres and other associated products.

This suite of products is designed to work in harmony to provide a complete smoke exit system.

• Rooflights Mk2

  Rooflights Mk2

  Factory assembled kerbs and Domes/Pyramids. A built up rooflight comprising kerb in a choice of material, with or without various ventilators and/or hinged opening (manually or electrically operated- see mark 2 kerb options) fitted with top components in a choice of materials.

  Kerbs available in Glass Fibre, Aluminium and galvanised Steel.

  BBS Building Components Mark 2 upstand kerb incorporating a vent axia fan, and fitted with an opal dome secured by aluminium continuous edge protection.

  A standard clear Mark 3 dome fitted to  a felted timber upstand. Basic Dome and Pyramid rooflights. A simple Dome or Pyramid Shape for fixing to existing kerbs.

  Tailor made sliding rooflights to suit all applications.  For example  a double skinned polycarbonate glazed sliding vault on an insulated GMS kerb.  The finish is polyester powder coated to your colour choice.
