Metal Louvres

From special applications to simple screen work, the Naco external metal louvre range provides a wide variety of styles, both standard and performance louvres and sight proof louvres together with movable blade applications.

A range of blanking plates or insulated panels may be fitted to the rear of the louvre to suit applications on to brick / block walls or where the non active part of the louvre screen requires a better degree of insulation.

Our design team can match your requirements in louvre style, finish and colour and enable you to create a pleasing architectural, feature as well as a practical ventilation design.

Produced from aluminium extrusions we offer 50, 75 and 100 series standard
louvres together with our 75 performance series and sight proof louvre.
Within the range are single and double leaf doors opening in & out.

Louvres are generally manufactured in panel format and coupled together either
horizontally or vertically to form complete louvre assemblies; continuos line appearance as standard although mullion and transom features can be provided.

Introduction

The new range of standard and performance series Naco louvres have been designed to provide simple and economical solutions to ventilation problems while offering excellent water rejection characteristics for more exposed/higher requirement areas. The use of aluminium extrusions together with a variety of surface finishes enables the Naco concept to meet the need for weather louvres and screen louvres to blend with traditional building design or to form part of a modern architectural feature.

50 Standard Series

Fixed blade external louvres with 50mm blade spacing. Particularly suitable for smaller applications where a balanced appearance is required. Continuous line standard construction.

75 Standard Series

Fixed blade external louvres with 75mm blade spacing. Suitable for a wide range of louvre assemblies where a 'brick course' line is required. Continuous line standard construction.

100 Standard Series

Fixed blade external louvres with 100mm blade spacing. Suitable for larger louvre assemblies where greater definition is required. Continuous line is standard.

Screen Louvres

Where louvre assemblies are to be utilised for screening purposes rather than as conventional weather louvres, they are manufactured from 50, 75 or 100 standard series blade profiles, dependent on screen size, but with revised pitch centres.

75 Performance series

Fixed blade external louvres with 75mm blade spacing providing superior water rejection performance in a single blade profile. Developed after extensive design work, coupled with water testing by BSRIA, 75 performance series blade and frame design provides excellent water rejection performance in a single bank louvre while maintaining a 'clean' appearance without the necessity for baffle plates and reduced free area.

75 performance series - Sight proof louvres

Sight proof performance series louvre with 75mm blade spacing combining excellent water rejection performance with sight proof facility within a single frame, whilst maintaining an acceptable free area ratio. Continuous line appearance is standard and sight proof louvres suite with 75 performance series single bank louvres.

Performance series - Double Bank Louvres

75 performance series double bank louvres are particularly suitable for very severe exposure conditions.

Naco double bank louvres are recommended for use in locations of severe exposure where protection by surrounding buildings is limited and/or high winds may be expected. e.g. tall unprotected buildings, coastal applications, inland high ground buildings facing the prevailing wind direction.

Movable blade louvres

Movable blade external louvres with 100mm blade spacing. Blades are parallel linked and pivot in phosphor-bronze self lubricating brushes, with a choice of actuating mechanisms.

Designed for use where ventilation to outside air is required but must be regulated e.g. store rooms and plant rooms.

Louvred doors & access panels

Louvred doors - Single or double opening types available with 50, 75 and 100 series blades as standard. Doors are fully louvred and designed to line with adjacent fixed louvre panels when used as an integral part of a louvre installation.

Access panels - Available with either 50, 75 or 100 series blade types. Access panels can be manufactured to suit either builders work openings or to form an integral part of a louvre installation.

Penthouse Louvres

Fixed blade external penthouse louvres with a choice of 50, 75 or 100 series blades. Sheet metal roof and rigid angle frame. Louvres are designed for applications where roof inlet and exhaust terminals are required whilst maintaining the characteristics of sidewall louvres when mounted on a flat roof.

Acoustic louvres and attenuators

Acoustic louvres - For certain areas of external louvre applications, particularly in plant rooms, it may be necessary to consider the use of acoustic louvres, or conventional weather louvres backed by attenuators.

Attenuators - Where conventional weather louvres are being used but there is a requirement for sound attenuation to part of the installation, it is often preferable to retain the weather louvre construction for the entire louvre area but provide rectangular attenuators behind (inside) the weather louvre.

Sandtrap Louvres

Designed to remove the bulk of airbourne sand and dust from inlet air in dry, dusty or sandy climates whilst maintaining reasonable air flow rate characteristics by means of a special double blade design.

Air Intake Mist Separators

In addition NACO Air Intake Mist Separators serve to provide excellent water rejection performance and thus inhibiting water ingress into many marine applications including engine components.

NACO Air Intake Mist Separators are available in various different designs and shapes, paint finish specification matched to the specific applications.

Test carried out to the American AMCA standard for 'wind driven rain louvres' proved 100% effective at face velocities of 10.24 m/s and water flow rate of 254mm/hr.

Natural Ventilation Louvres

Natural Air Ventilation Louvres or NAV's are installed in the building facade to provide controlled fresh air intake or extract as part of a natural ventilation or passive night cooling system.

They can also be used in conjunction with mechanical cooling systems where they can reduce the need for daytime cooling and air conditioning. Using minimal energy to attenuate the ventilation louvres, the NACO nav units can be minutely adjusted to control airflow requirements, taking into account the weather outside; the speed and direction of wind, rain, temperature and the location of the units within the building facade to ensure a gentle flow of fresh air into the building without draughts.

The units can be controlled individually, or linked to an overall ventilation control or building management system.
