PCPS (Pump Controlled Pressurisation System) Engineering Appliances have recently added a range of innovative pressurisation systems for LTHW and CWH systems. Intended for larger systems (>500kW heating or 1MW cooling) they use pumps to control system pressure to within +/-0.2 bar. Unlike most conventional pump controlled systems, which use an open spill tank, the Engineering Appliances PCPS uses a closed vessel with a butyl membrane. This prevents continuous aeration of the water protecting the system from potential corrosion.
Space SavingAs the vessel itself is pressureless, up to 90% of the volume of the vessel can be utilised regardless of the system pressure. Compared to conventional pressurised expansion vessels whose acceptance is dependant on system pressure and can be as little as 15%, the Engineering Appliances PCPS can offer great space savings. Anti-BacteriaThe systems are also fitted with a unique anti-sludging and anti-bacteria function. For further information please contact us. RPZ TechnologyThe water make up function incorporated in the Engineering Appliances system utilises the latest RPZ (Reduced Pressure Zone) valve technology. This is a non-return valve which replaces the conventional break tank. The valves are in accordance with EN1717 and are WRc approved. Other systemsFor smaller systems, Engineering Appliances aso offer a conventional range of pressurisation systems. VesselsEngineering Appliances are stocking a complete range of nitrogen pressurised expansion vessels from 8L to 1000L. |
