Three Pass Reverse Flame

	The REX boiler is a three pass reverse flame horizontal firetube boiler suitable for use on liquid and gaseous fuels. The boiler is robust, giving long life and high efficiency.
In designing the boiler, special attention has been given to the problem of scaling. Since this problem affects the areas in which temperature is higher, the risk has been eliminated by removing all sources of overheating and by adopting a unique tube and front plate that distribute the temperature evenly. REX boilers are fitted with special devices that reduce the risk of gas condense, one of the worst problems affecting the working life of a generator. The design includes a special system that conveys internal hot water flows to protect the rear plate and tubes where the risk of excessive gas cooling is the highest. 	The control panel supplied with the boilers is made of self-extinguishing plastic and houses the regulation and safety instruments: The regulation thermostats (TR1-TR2) have an operating range from 60� to 90� and can be set by the user by means of the front dial. Safety thermostats (TS1 and TS2) have a fixed setting of 100 (+0/-6)°C and can be manually reset. Circulator consent thermostat (TL1) has a fixed setting of 50°C with a working range of 6°C: at start-up, with the heating system cold, this permits higher boiler temperatures to be maintained thus reducing the risk of flue gas condensation.
ST37.0 DIN1629 steel flue pipes inserted in AISI 304 stainless steel laminar turbulators can increase the gas/water transfer factor and therefore generator efficiency. The inside of the manhole is made of ceramic fibre for high insulation and low thermal inertia. This contributes to a higher seasonal efficiency of the plant. The boiler has been insulated with 80-mm high-density rock wool panels. Casing made of easy-to-mount steel panels can reduce dispersions by almost 1%. Heat loss can be further reduced and efficiency increased by 0,5% by using the door and smoke box insulating coatings supplied with REX boilers.
