What is Spirovent?
Manufactured in The Netherlands, Spirovent, a revolutionary product by Spirotech, provides a completely new solution to the extraction of dirt and dissolved gasses in re-circulating systems.
What is Deaeration?
This is the process of removing dissolved gases from liquids. A good example of Dearation would be the act of removing air from a liquid such as water.
When does Deaeration occur and what problems can it cause?
When pressure is reduced in a water system or when water is affected by heat, tiny air bubbles are produced. If this happens, these minute bubbles (we'll call them 'microbubbles') can be responsible for a range of costly problems such as loss of energy, corrosion and pump failure. These microbubbles are also known to be the cause of balancing problems in chilled and heating water systems.
How can Spirovent help prevent Corrosion?
The Spirovent Deaerator prevents oxygen corrosion by eliminating microbubbles. By installing the Spirovent Deaerator within the system's hottest point, the Spirovent will eradicate microbubbles resulting in highly conditioned absorptive water. The action of the Spirovent means that, for the full duration of its lifespan, all other gas related problems will have no effect on the system.
Can the Spirovent eliminate dirt in the same way that it removes gas?
The simple answer is yes! Tiny dirt particles can also play havoc with circulating systems and the clever design of the copper Spirotube means that it is also extremely effective at eliminating dirt. In fact, it is so effective that it can eradicate all dirt particles as small as 10 micron whilst also having the capability to further reduce particles that are smaller than a micron. In addition, the collected dirt can be flushed away even whilst the system is in full operation. The important thing is, that no matter how much dirt requires to be removed, it can be achieved without an increase in pressure drop, making the Spirovent an exceptionally energy efficient product in comparison to strainers and other types of conventional equipment.
